It feels like it's been ages since I last wrote my newsletter, but I had the best summer break with my friends and family. Between international travel, attending my friend's wedding, and personal matters, I decided to take the summer off to fully live in the present for myself. This break was truly the best decision for me. I know I will forever cherish the time I get to spend with my loved ones.
I started off my summer by spending two weeks in London. I always love London in the summertime; it gives me a feeling like I'm in a romantic comedy novel. Although I had been to London before, this time was more special to me. Throughout the trip, I was accompanied by my host family, and my best friend flew in from Amsterdam to take me to Doja Cat's concert. Needless to say, we had a fabulous time! I loved every minute of the trip.
After my trip to London, I went home and spent time with my family in Hanoi, Vietnam. We travelled to Danang, Hoi An, and then Halong Bay together. I got to spend a lot of time with my mom and my sister this summer. I feel like I'm on cloud nine every day I wake up, blissfully in love with my life and the time I have with them. I know how lucky I am to have such a blessed life! If you had asked me in January, I wouldn't have thought I would be able to spend a summer like this. If you ever plan to visit Vietnam, especially Hanoi, feel free to ask me for recommendations. I'd be delighted to share my favorite places with you.
It's truly bittersweet that I have to leave home, but I love the opportunity to live life on my own terms every day. Before returning to the US, I had a chance to visit Doha, and it turned out to be filled with unexpectedly delightful memories. On my flight back to the US, the child sitting next to me got incredibly excited as we approached NYC. Looking out the window, she said, "Mom, look, it's NYC. It's so beautiful! I love that place." Her innocent joy warmed my heart. It reminded me of the happiness I felt about returning to a city full of opportunities and love. It also reminded me that my summertime OOO is finally over, but I’m ready to embrace the next season with an open heart! 💘
Love always, JV
I could feel the love and happiness you felt from travelling through your words here. It makes me feel happy to read about what a beautiful time you had spending with your family and going back home. Also, Big Ben is out of his braces! lol, the last time I went, he was covered in scaffolding for repairs. I love London too, I can’t wait to go back
Love this!
