Hi! How are you all doing? I know this week has been difficult for all of us—from witnessing our day cutting shorter which is already depressing, to the stressful election day. I know it was difficult for each one of us, and to be honest, I didn’t know how I got through the week either. But thanks to my family, my coach, and God for pushing me through with so much patience and encouragement. I didn’t know what I would do without them truthfully.
This week, I feel as though silence is enough. I don’t have much to write to you guys, but offering my compassion and understanding to each one of you. I might not understand fully what you all are experiencing, but I know you each deserve the love, understanding, and patience as much as I do. I hope this virtual hug is an encouragement to you all even when you feel as though you vs. the world. Your feelings might lie to you right now, and that is okay. Just know that you are not your feelings!! My feelings lie to me sometimes. And I find that when it is too difficult for me to move through, silence alone is enough. Silence helps me connect with myself and with God. Sometimes, it is the kind of understanding that I need—the kind that words alone cannot deliver, and I hope in this case, it is mine to yours.
I pray that God will give you so much strength and peace in your heart for you to keep going, and for you to be gentle with yourself and the people around you. And more importantly, I pray that God will fill your heart with lots of joy and love so that you can give it to others as the world needs that more than ever now. Lastly, I pray that you take care of yourself, drink enough water, and rest well this weekend. Your health is also important to God.
Love and thinking of you all!!! - JV
